Kyle Beard Takes Top 10 at Columbus; North Alabama Up Next

Trumann, AR (03/18/10) – After two months out of the driver’s seat, Kyle shook off the cobwebs and returned to action at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi in his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model.

For the first time in over two months Kyle returned to action on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the $2,000 to win, Promoters Racing Organization (P.R.O.) Super Late Model Series event, which was also sanctioned by the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series. A stout field of 38 Super Late Models entered the event, and in group qualifying, Kyle was 5th fastest in his group to earn the third starting spot in a qualifier. In the qualifier, Kyle would battle mechanical woes to a second place finish behind Mathew Turner to pick up the 12th starting spot for the 40 lap feature. Early in the event, Kyle would drop a few spots before rebounding to record a 9th place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped.

With the first event in the books, Kyle is currently 9th in the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series standings and 5th in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series standings.

This Saturday, March 20th the team will travel to North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for a $2,500 to win/$250 to start event, which will be co-sanctioned by the P.R.O.
