Ken Schrader to Race in the Black Diamond at Tyler County!

(Mars, PA) - Circle Track Management Group along with the Tyler County Speedway is proud to announce that NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader will join the dirt late model stars at "The Bullring" for the Black Diamond Weekend, September 3rd & 4th. "It makes me ecstatic that Kenny is going to join us for the Labor Day weekend festivities. He is a veteran of many forms of racing and we are glad he has fit us into his busy schedule," said promoter Frank Wilson.

On Friday, Sept. 3, the UFo Race Championship will make its 3rd appearance of 2010 at "The Bullring" for the 5th and final race of the West Virginia State Championship paying $10,000 to win and $400 to start for the Super Late Models. Also on the card is a 30 lap FASTRAK Late Model regional touring event special paying $3,000 to win and be regular racing in all other divisions.

On Saturday, Sept. 4, there will be an hour long autograph session with Ken Schrader as well other drivers willing to participate before the racing action begins. Then, the racing for the Black Diamond 125 will begin. The Black Diamond will consist of two separate programs ending in features that are 50 laps long paying $20,000 to win and $1,000 to start. There will only be 1 entry per driver and with 24 car starting fields, 48 different drivers will leave "The Bullring" with a minimum of $1,000!!! Drivers such as Tim Dohm, Doug Horton and Pittsburgh's Jared Miley have already registered.

Next, the top 8 out of those features will be transferred into a 16 car - 25 lap - $10,000 winner take all where the preliminary features winners will start on the tail and the other 14 drivers will re-draw for their position. If the one of the prelim winners comes from the tail to win the 25 lapper, they get a $20,000 bonus on top of the $10,000 winners check. That pushes the possible 2 day winnings to $60,000!!!!!!!!!

On Sunday, Sept. 5, there will be a Modified National Championship for the E-mods. Drivers such as Kenny Johnson, Kenny Riddle, Tom Sigler and Glenn Underwood have already registered. The Modified National Championship will be 100 laps long paying $10,000 to win and $700 to start.

The UFo Race Championship kicks off its biggest season ever on Saturday Night, March 27 at the Mercer Raceway Park. The "Chiller Thriller" will feature a 41-lap UFo Super Late Model championship paying $2,500 to the winner. A large turnout of drivers and fans is expected for the "Chiller Thriller" as it will also be the 2010 Super Late Model special events opener for the entire 4-state region. This will be the first visit ever of the UFo Super Late Models at Mercer, which will start the chase for the large UFo point bonus fund at a neutral arena. UEMS E-mods & Open Stocks will compete for $1,000 each with the Mini-Stocks rounding out the racing program.

The UFo Race Championship is an alliance among tracks in the Pennova region (Western PA-Northern WV-Northeastern OH). Participating speedway present championship Super Late Model events throughout the season using common tech and procedure rules and offer a year-end point bonus for the top finishing drivers on the tour.
