Anthony Burroughs Continues Hot Streak; Columbus Up Next

Muscle Shoals, Alabama (03/08/10) –Anthony Burroughs continued his torrid start to the 2010 season over the weekend in his #121 ALT Transportation/Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Wall-2-Wall Racing Engine Super Late Model as he picked up a second place finish in Southern Regional Racing Series action.

Anthony traveled to Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee on Saturday for the $3,000 to win, Southern Regional Racing Series Super Late Model event. Thirty-three Super Late Models entered the event and Burroughs set the fastest time in his group and second fastest time overall to earn the outside front row starting spot for the main event. With the track being primarily locked down on the bottom for the feature, Burroughs would fall to second at the drop of the green flag and would go on to challenge the leader, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, for the entire event before settling for a second place finish.

“Ronny Lee and I were pretty equal in the feature, and he just got the jump on me at the start of the race, and with passing being so difficult, I just had to settle for second. This was another great finish for this team!” commented Burroughs.

Burroughs and ALT Motorsports are preparing for a busy weekend. Friday night’s plans will be determined by Mother Nature, but as of right now the team plans to enter the $5,000 to win, Southern All Star Super Late Model event at Boyds Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia. Dirt Car Super Late Model Series event. A $2,000 to win, 40 lap event is on tap. For more information, please visit www.ColumbusSpeedway.net and www.ProDirtCarSeries.com .
