www.stateseries.comMSCCS Opens 2010 with 'Frost Bite 50' at South MS SpeedwayThe Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series will open its 2010 season at South MS Speedway in Long Beach, Mississippi on March 6 with the 7th annual Frost Bite 50. The pit gate will open at 4:00 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30. An open practice session will be held on Friday March 5 from 5:30 until 9 p.m. MUFFLERS will be required.
The format for this event begins with group qualifying to determine the top 8 starting positions for the feature. Positions 9 through 20 will be filled from the B-mains while positions 21 and 22 will be determined from the 2009 MSCCS points standing.
This will be a $5,000 to win event with non-qualifiers receiving $50. Raceceivers will be required for the event along with MUFFLERS. The new weight rules for this event are: Open 2300 lbs. (This includes any ALUM Motor) SAS/SUPR/MSCCS Spec 2250 lbs. ALL Steel Motor 2250 lbs.
Also on hand for the 2010 season will be a hard charger award $100 per event being presented by speedwaycollectiblesusa.com and Tony Baker Racing Engines.
