13th Annual Bama Bash Preview: The Swagger Is Back at the Bama Bash

Pinson, Alabama (February 23, 2010) - The swagger is back at Green Valley Speedway's 13th annual Bama Bash this coming weekend. The race scheduled for February 25-28, is the crown jewel of track owner Dennis Harker's 2010 season that will feature action in nine divisions over the weekend. The headline division, the Super Late Models, will be the lid-lifter for the Southern Regional Racing Series tour and will pay a hefty $10,000-to-win.

This fine Alabama speedplant features modern facilities and great spectator amenities. This fast high-banked 3/8mi. red clay oval provides excellent racing action on a well prepared surface by track specialist Scott Morris. The announcing duties will be handeled by Southern legend Perry "the Voiceman" Holman and the voice of the World of Outlaws, Rick Eschelmen. Track owner Dennis Harker, starting year 4 of ownership of the track located just outside of Gadsden in Glencoe, has stated that entries are pouring in from many states.

For the Crate Late Models, this will be a warm-up ahead of the big $25,000-to-win Crate Nationals in March.

Top national and regional names have entered this special show. Heavyweights such as Ray Cook, Shane Clanton,Randy Weaver, Ronnie Johnson, Chris Wall, Bub McCool are just a few of the talented teams. Super Late Model car counts are expected to be 60 and above.

Unlike years past, the qualifying, heat racing and features will be run at night instead of daytime action of years past. Green Valley Speedway officials want the best possible track conditions for this years Bash, a late afternoon start has racers and fans anticipated great racing action.
