Tennessee National Raceway reschedules Ice Breaker Event to next Saturday February 20th

Tennessee National Raceway will reschedule it's Ice Breaker Event from this Saturday February 13th to next Saturday February 20th. This Friday's Practice has also been rescheduled to next Friday the 19th all the same times for the events will remain the same.

The ICE BREAKER event has teams all over our area and many other states coming to test their skills. Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee and even Michigan had drivers coming to represent their states at the 1/3 mile speedplant.

“We just wanted our track to be the best it can be for the Racers and Fans. We felt that waiting one more week would give us the best chance to deliver that.” stated, Nathan Ottensmeyer, Promoter of Tennessee National Raceway. Track spokesman John Mosier, stated that the racing surface was in good shape, but the pit area (where the racers prepare) was having difficulty with overly soft ground which would cause the teams haulers to get stuck.

“I am really Excited about getting this racing season going, I have a severe case of cabin fever and nobody wanted this weekend to happen more than me!” said Nathan Ottensmeyer.

Pit Gate opens at 10am
