Title: Dennis Erb Racing Treks South to Peach State Following Knoxville Post by LMR on 10/02/15 at 2:57am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 1, 2015 ________________________________________ Dennis Erb Racing Treks South to Peach State Following Knoxville CARPENTERSVILLE, ILL (October 1) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took the Dennis Erb Racing team to the historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 24-26 for the 12th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' The three-day crown jewel extravaganza, which drew 63 competitors to the 1/2-mile Marion County fairgrounds speedplant, once again started with a pair of $7,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. scored the win in his loaded heat race prior to moving up three spots in the 25-lapper en route to a strong sixth place showing behind only winner Jonathan Davenport, Jimmy Owens, Don O'Neal, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Chris Brown. At Knoxville on Friday evening, Dennis finished fourth in his heat race and tenth in the B-Main, which unfortunately did not transfer him into the 25-lap main event. By virtue of racking up the thirteenth most points in preliminary action, Dennis started Saturday's 100-lap headliner from the inside of the seventh row. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace eventually wound up fourteenth at the conclusion of the $40,000 to win 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' and still sits seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings. Full results from Knoxville Raceway can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com. As the 2015 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series campaign heads into the stretch drive, two more pivotal point battles will take the #28 team to the Peach State on October 3-4 for a huge doubleheader. Things will kick off on Saturday night with the annual running of the 'Dixie Shootout' at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, while the double-dip will conclude on Sunday evening at Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia with the 'Rome Showdown.' Both 50-lap features will boast a $10,000 winner's check. Dennis would like to thank all of his sponsors including: J.R.
