Title: Dennis Erb, Jr. Seventh in LOLMDS Points Heading into Batesville Post by LMR on 08/13/15 at 12:51am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 12, 2015 ________________________________________ Dennis Erb, Jr. Seventh in LOLMDS Points Heading into Batesville's Topless 100 CARPENTERSVILLE, ILL (August 12) - Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team were back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail over the August 7-8 weekend at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky, as the 33rd edition of the 'North/South 100' boasted a hefty $50,000 winner's check. On Friday night, Dennis was unfortunately involved in an incident in his first heat race and later suffered motor issues, which led to an eleventh place effort. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then advanced up to fifth in his second heat race of the evening utilizing a back-up car. When the consolation events rolled around at the Cincinnati-area speedplant on Saturday, Dennis placed fifth in his B-Main, which forced him to rely on a series provisional to gain access into the 100-lap 'North/South 100.' During the course of the extra-distance affair, Dennis rallied past thirteen competitors to salvage a steady eleventh place effort in the crown jewel extravaganza. He still sits seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the 'North/South 100.' Complete results from Florence Speedway can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com. The Dennis Erb Racing team will venture south this upcoming weekend (August 14-15) to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. The 23rd Annual 'COMP Cams Topless 100' will be held over the weekend at the 3/8-mile, high-banked oval, which is located just outside of Batesville. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Friday night, while the consolation events and the 100-lap headliner are slated for Saturday evening. The biggest roofless event in Super Late Model racing once again boasts a whopping $40,000 payday, while each feature starter will receive at least $2,000 for their efforts. The crown jewel spectacular will once again be taped by the cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios for broadcast later in the year on MavTV and NBC Sports Network.
