Rod Conley Runner-Up at Portsmouth; Conley's Gear Up for Fred Dillow Memorial

WHEELERSBURG, OH (August 12) - Delmas and Rod Conley invaded the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, August 8 for a weekly Super Late Model showdown. Rod won his heat race in preliminary action and later started the $2,000 to win main event from the outside of the fourth row. "Hot Rod" then rallied up through the field during the headliner to bag an impressive runner-up showing behind only victor Ben Adkins. Delmas ran second in his heat race and climbed to as high as second in the running order of the A-Main before an on-track skirmish relegated him to a sixth place performance.

On August 7-8, R.J. Conley took his #71c Rocket racecar to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky for the 33rd edition of the 'North/South 100.' At the Cincinnati-area speedplant on Friday night, R.J. ran fourth in his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heat race, while he wound up eighth in his second and final prelim of the evening. After finishing seventh in Saturday's consolation race, R.J. was unfortunately forced to watch the $50,000 to win 'North/South 100,' which was eventually won by Jonathan Davenport. Complete results from both Portsmouth and Florence can be accessed online at www.portsraceway.com and www.lucasdirt.com.

All four Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers (Delmas, Rod, R.J., and J.T. Conley) are scheduled to be in the pit area this Saturday night, August 15 at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The 21st Annual 'Fred Dillow Memorial' will take place on Saturday at PRP and a $5,000 top prize will be on the line in the unsanctioned throwdown. R.J. has won five 'Fred Dillow Memorial' titles including the last two years in 2013 and 2014.
