Jason Riggs Third at Clarksville Speedway; Heads to KLMS for Bluegrass Nationals

HARRISBURG, ILL (May 14) - Harrisburg, Illinois native Jason Riggs invaded Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday evening, May 9 for a weekly UMP Late Model throwdown. Jason qualified fourth fastest in time trials and later placed second in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the second row in the $1,000 to win feature event, Jason hung around the front of the field for the entire 20-lap distance and eventually finished third behind only winner Terry English and runner-up Caleb Ashby. Complete results from Clarksville Speedway can be viewed online at www.clarksvillespeedway.com.

Jason and his #81jr team plan to head to Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky on May 15-16. The MARS DIRTcar Series will preside over the two-day 'Bluegrass Nationals' at the state-of-the-art facility this weekend. A $2,000 winner's check will be up for grabs on Friday night, while a $4,000 top prize will be on the line in Saturday's finale. In addition, a $1,000 bonus can also be captured if a driver can sweep both weekend shows. Additional information can be obtained by clicking on www.marsracingseries.com.

Brian Shirley will also return to racing action for Riggs Motorsports this upcoming weekend, as he will compete in a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles. Weather pending, the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin will play host to a single-day shootout tomorrow night, while LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois will do the same on Saturday evening. Both programs will be headlined by 50-lap feature events. More information on the LOLMDS double-dip can be viewed by pointing your Internet browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
