Title: Chase Junghans Conquers NCRA Action for First Win 2014; WoO Next Post by LMR on 07/09/14 at 3:12pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 9, 2014 _______________________________________ Chase Junghans Conquers NCRA Action for First Win 2014; WoO Action Next by Ben Shelton MANHATTAN, Kansas (July 9) - Chase Junghans has flirted with victory lane multiple times in 2014 in his #18 Shop Quik Racing/Capital/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model, and on Saturday night he finally sealed the deal by winning the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) feature at the Belleville High Banks (Belleville, Kansas). With a weekend off from the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series tour, Chase Junghans took the opportunity to enter a pair of NCRA events. Action opened on Friday night at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) as sixteen NCRA Late Models registered for the event. Junghans charged from sixth to claim the win in his heat race, locking him into the pole position for the finale. In the feature he finished third behind race winner, Kyle Berck, and Chris Kratzer. On Saturday night the team traveled to Belleville High Banks (Belleville, Kansas) as seventeen entries filled the pit area at the 1/2 mile oval. Chase once again claimed a heat race win to lock into the outside front row starting spot alongside Dean Moore for the feature. Junghans bolted to the race lead at the drop of the green flag and led the entire 25 lap distance for his first victory of the 2014 season, which came over Kyle Berck, Mike Wiarda, Jeremy Petty, and Scott Phillips. "It felt good to finally win that first event of 2014," said Junghans. "I feel like we gave one away earlier in the week at Lincoln Speedway (Illinois) with the UMP Summernationals, so it was great to bounce back with this one. We've learned a lot on the road with the Outlaws this year, and I feel like it's starting to show in our results." Full results from the weekend are available at www.RaceNCRA.com . Junghans now turns his attention to resuming action with the World of Outlaws that begins thisThursday. His upcoming schedule is shown below: July 10th: WoO - Hibbing Raceway (Hibbing, MN) - $10,000-To-Win July 12th: WoO - Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, MN) - $10,000-To-Win July 15th: WoO - Aberdeen Speedway (Aberdeen, SD) - $10,000-To-Win Chase is currently second in the latest WoO rookie of the year standings and tenth in the overall points.
