Rick Eckert Eyes Run at Another World of Outlaws Championship

YORK, PENN (January 15) - In almost exactly a month, Rick Eckert will start his eleventh consecutive season with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, as the national touring series will kick off their 2014 campaign with a trio of events at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida from February 14-16. The 'Bubba Army Late Model Winter Nationals' will pay $8,000 to the winner on Friday and $10,000 to win on Saturday. The trifecta at the egg-shaped, 3/8-mile complex will be headlined by Sunday's 60-lap grand finale, which boasts a hefty $12,000 top prize.

From there, the #24 team will venture east to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 17-22. The first three showdowns at VSP will be sanctioned by the UMP DIRTcar Series, while the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will preside over the final three nights of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' Presented by Summit Racing Equipment. Nights one and two at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant will see Rick vie for a $7,000 winner's check, while the last four races will see a $10,000 payday on the line each evening.

Forty-seven (47) race dates comprising forty-two (42) A-Mains at thirty-one (31) tracks in twenty-one (21) states and Canada are currently confirmed as part of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series 2014 itinerary. Rick will be seeking a run at his second series Championship, as the York, Pennsylvania star was crowned Champion in exciting fashion back in 2011. He was subsequently the series runner-up in 2012 and finished fourth in last year's heated version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings. Additional information on the WOOLMS tour and "Speedweeks 2014" events at Ocala and Volusia can be found online by pointing your web browser to www.woolms.com.

As the start of the 2014 season nears, Rick and his #24 team would like to welcome a couple of new sponsors on board. Both Horton Coal Company, which is located in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Steven Sorbera of Duncansville, Pennsylvania have recently signed on has valued supporters of Rick Eckert Racing in 2014. Rick looks forward to representing Horton Coal Company and Sorbera Family Chiropractic and Natural Weight Loss in first-class fashion and building a long-term relationship with both businesses.

"I am really excited about the 2014 season and I can't wait to get down to Florida in Feburary," exclaimed Eckert, who currently has thirty (30) career World of Outlaws Late Model Series wins on his resume. "We ran pretty strong at both Ocala and Volusia last year and it is important to come out of Florida in good shape in the points. You can't win a Championship during "Speedweeks," but you can sure bury yourself in the standings with a couple of bad nights. Hopefully with the help of Horton Coal Company, Sorbera Family Chiropractic, and all of our other great sponsors, we can get off to a fast start to 2014 and enjoy a strong season!"

Rick would like to thank the following sponsors for their commitment to his race team: In Loving Memory of Raye Vest, J&K Salvage, Ritchey Sandblasting, Allstar Performance, Horton Coal Company, Sorbera Family Chiropractic and Natural Weight Loss, Bloomquist Race Cars, Jay D1ckens Racing Engines, Eckert Trucking, S&S Mobile Power Wash, AFCO Racing Products, All About Doors, All About Wraps, Arizona Sport Shirts, Awesome Racewear, Bahia Service Center, Bell Helmets, Beyea Headers, Callies, Comp Cams, Delph Communications, Dyer's Top Rods, Fatheadz Eyewear, FK Rod Ends, Heintz Bros.
