Mark Whitener and Big Frog Motorsports Start 2014 with a Win

MIDDLEBURG, Florida (01/06/14) - Big Frog Motorsports opened the 2014 campaign with a bang on Saturday night as Mark Whitener powered his #58 Big Frog Motorsports/Dave's Towing/B&B Produce Late Model to the $3,000 win in the Showdown at the Swamp at Waycross Motor Speedway (Waycross, Georgia).

The National Late Model Series (NLMS) sanctioned the program, which drew a field of 21 entries to the clay oval. Whitener started his night by blazing to fast time honors in qualifications before racing to the dash win. Via his performance in the dash he started on the pole for the finale, and went on to lead flag-to-flag to score the $3,000 victory over Travis Carter, Rhett Carter, Evan Becton, and David Browning.

"It was truly a picture-perfect night for our team," noted Whitener. "We had an awesome car from the time we unloaded, and I have to thank my team and all of our great sponsors for their support. This is just a great way to start a season."
