Klint Byars Shakes Winless Streak with Mag Triumph; Topless 100 Next

Calhoun City, Mississippi (08/16/12) – After countless near-misses and even some controversial calls Klint Byars finally was able to put his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model in the winner's circle on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Klint was finally able to get the season-long monkey off his back on Saturday night as he claimed his first win of the year with a triumph in a Weekly Racing Series Event at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). Fourteen Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and Klint would charge to the win, which came over Dane Dacus, Jason Brock, Tony Shelton, and Tim Parker. "Even though it was just a weekly show it was a big deal for us to finally get a win this year. Our team has really been performing well, but we've just had some crazy mechanical issues and other problems, which have left us scratching our heads. With this first win in the bag, we now have some confidence in our corner heading into the late-season specials."

The team will carry their newfound momentum into this weekend's 20th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas). The $40,000-to-win event will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and will see many of the nation's best drivers in action. On Thursday night an Open Practice Session will be held, while Friday's program will include time trials and heat race action. On Saturday night b-mains and the 100 lap finale will be on tap.
