Team Dillon Racing Launches New Website; McDowell Scores Win

Welcome, North Carolina (06/22/12) – Team Dillon Racing is the latest edition to the MSRMafia.com Team and has launched a new website at www.TeamDillonRacing.com .

Team Dillon Racing is home to drivers Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, and Dale McDowell. The team is off to a great start to the year with several win already. Defending NASCAR Nationwide Champion, Austin Dillon, scored a win during the UMP DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) in his #3 Team Dillon Racing/Larry Shaw/ECR Open Wheel Modified. Ty Dillon also claimed a win in his #41 TDR/Larry Shaw/ECR Open Wheel Modified during the UMP DIRTCar Nationals, and he was the overall UMP DIRTCar Nationals Champion.

Dale McDowell has been off to a strong start in 2012 with four wins already on the season in his #17m Team Dillon Racing/Warrior/ECR Super Late Model. His most recent win came last weekend. Team Dillon Racing traveled to Beckley Motorsports Park (Beckley, West Virginia) on Friday night for the opening night of a two-day event, which posted a $3,000 winner's check. The Down & Dirty 30 saw twenty Super Late Models register for action, and drivers timed while they hot lapped. After registering the seventh fastest time in qualifications, McDowell started third in the first heat. A third place finish in the heat left Dale starting seventh on the grid for the 30 lap feature. In the opening laps he worked his way into the top five and by the time the caution flew on lap 12 he was already up to the third spot. Late in the race he overtook leader Kenny Compton, and once out front never looked back on his way to the win, which was his fourth of the 2012 campaign!

Dale McDowell entered the second night of a doubleheader at Beckley Motorspots Park (Beckley, West Virginia) on Saturday evening as the $10,000-to-win, Black Gold 50 was held. Twenty-five entries were on hand, and in time trials Dale piloted his #17m Team Dillon Racing/Warrior/ECR Racing Engine Super Late Model to the eighth fastest time, which left him starting third in the second heat race. He would power to a second place finish in the heat, which locked him into the fifth starting spot for the 50 lap finale. Early in the event McDowell worked his way into the third position, and he would hold down that spot for the rest of the event as he crossed the checkered flag third behind race winner, Zack Dohm, and Harold Redman Jr. Full results from both events are available at www.BeckleyMotorsports.com .

This weekend, June 22nd-23rd, Team Dillon Racing will go into battle with Dale McDowell and Ty Dillon behind the wheel as they take on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). On Friday night a $10,000-to-win event will be held at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina), while Saturday evening will see the drivers in action at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Virginia).
