Title: Coleby Frye Bags First 2012 Win at Selinsgrove Speedway Post by LMR on 06/14/12 at 5:59pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 14, 2012 ______________________________________ Coleby Frye Bags First 2012 Win at Selinsgrove Speedway Dover, PA (June 14, 2012) 'Superfly' Coleby Frye of Dover, PA held off a charge from Jeff Rine and late race pressure from Jamie Lathroum to capture his first win of the 2012 season and first win since reuniting with the Krenn Family and their #32 Rocket. Coleby kicked off his month of June entering events with the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by Harbaugh Amusement. The tour kicked off on Saturday, June 2 at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway where Frye would finish in the 14th position before coming home 18th in the mini-series' next stop at Winchester (VA) Speedway on Sunday, June 3. Before finding motor issues under the hood of the Krenn Brokerage, Hortscraft Millworks, Kriner's Racing Engines, Fryco Inc., sponsored #32, 'Superfly' failed to qualify for the next two speedweek events at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA and Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA. 'We learned a lot the first two nights of the speedweek deal,' Coleby stated, 'and we thought we were going to be good at (Roaring) Knob and Lincoln. I felt like we turned good laps at both places during time trials but then we ended up starting in the back. We couldn't figure it out at first but after looking things over, we had some motor issues that held us back.' The team returned to action this past Saturday, June 9 for the $2,500 to-win 'Spring Championship' at Selinsgrove (PA) Speedway. Coleby started on the front row and took the lead at the beginning and controlled the event until lapped traffic became a factor. Jeff Rine and Gregg Satterlee caught Frye with around five laps remaining with Rine making his move with three laps to go. Coleby and Rine made contact that sent Rine spinning and set up a three la dash to the finish. Jamie Lathroum made his way around Satterlee for second and tried to mount a final lap charge for the win but Frye held on for the win. Coleby will tentatively be in action this Friday, June 15 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA and Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday, June 16 for a $10,000 to-win, World of Outlaws Late Model Series event. Frye will then return to Lernerville Speedway on Friday, June 22 for their 'Mid-Season Championship' where the winner will be a guaranteed starter for the Sixth Annual 'Firecracker 100', in which Coleby will enter on Thursday - Saturday, June 28 - 30. The 'Firecracker 100' will feature two, $6,000 to-win preliminary events as well as a $3,000 to-win non-qualifier event and the $30,000 to-win feature event.
