English takes Super Late Model win at Duck River Speedway
WHEEL, TN (May 27) - There were 33 supers registered for action at Duck River Speedway on Sunday night. Daniel Miller was fast qualifier overall with a 12.56. Heat winners were Riley Hickman, Josh Putnam and Todd Morrow.
Tony Morris, who had locked into the feature, took his M31 car to the pits before the drop of the green. Tanner English took the lead on green. 1st caution of the night came on lap 8 when lthe #18 of David Seibers slowed on the back stretch. English still leading followed by Terry English, Miller, Hickman and Kelly Hanvey.
The 2nd caution came on lap 12 when the K28 of Kevin Lovvorn made contact with the wall in turn 4. Tanner still in the lead with his dad hot on his heels. Miller, Hickman and Morrow.
Hickman passed Miller on lap 13. Carnell Parker slowed in turn 4 bringing out caution #3 on lap 14. Tanner, Terry, Hickman, Miller and Morrow.
Terry takes the lead from Tanner on lap 27 and Morrow moved into 2nd on lap 30. Tanner takes second place back and the battle is on between both Englishes and Morrow. Last caution of the night came when Scott Cook slows in turns 3 & 4 on lap 37. It's Terry, Tanner, Morrow, Hickman, Winkles.
Tanner passes his dad for the lead on the white flag lap and took the win followed by Terry, Morrow, Hickman, Winkles, Miller, Putnam, Hanvey, Brett Miller and Jay Brinley rounding out the top 10.
