Title: Nick Dickson Gets First Career Hagerstown Win Post by LMR on 05/09/12 at 1:56am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 8, 2012 _______________________________________ Nick Dickson Gets First Career Hagerstown Win Lewistown, PA (May 8, 2012) Nick Dickson of Lewistown, PA and Nick Dickson Racing claimed their first ever Hagerstown (MD) victory this past Saturday, May 5 , passing Greencastle, PA's Gary Stuhler on lap 13 enroute to their second win in just four starts so far in 2012. 'Our to-do list for this year was to win one at Winchester (VA) Speedway and here, and we did it in our last two times out,' an ecstatic Dickson said in victory lane at Hagerstown Speedway. 'We're thrilled; to win here is so awesome. We've struggled here a lot but I knew we could get it done.' Nick continued, 'This is the place to win. Here is where the cars are. You get a lot of recognition for winning a race here. I've been watching Gary Stuhler since I was born, he's my hero, and to get past him...it's a tough deal.' Dickson started sixth in the main event and wasted no time getting to the front as he was up to the second position by the ninth lap. 'I knew we were going to be pretty good in the feature I wanted to take my time and be patient,' Nick said via telephone, 'but the new Mastersbilt by Huey was hooked up and we were able to get to the front quickly.' Once Dickson moved into the lead, he was able to pull away and win by over five seconds. 'The car has just been awesome every time we unload it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we can't be any happier with our decision to go in a different direction for this season. It's really boosted our program and the results are showing that.' Not only was the win a special one because it was Nick's first at the famed western Maryland oval, but Nick and wife Paula welcomed daughter Emily Kay Dickson to the world on Saturday, April 28. Nick and his Dickson's Custom Exhaust, Dickson's Alignment, Speedwrapz, Hershey Racing Engines, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #17 Mastersbilt by Huey will be in action this upcoming Saturday, May 12 at Winchester (VA) Speedway for the $2,400 to-win Ray Vest Memorial qualifier.
