Brian Birkhofer Returns Home Following East Coast Swing

MUSCATINE, IA (April 25) - The Birkhofer Racing team found themselves in the pit area at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania last Friday night, April 20. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over a $10,000 to win program at Roaring Knob and a stout field of competitors filled the pits. Brian Birkhofer ran fifth in his loaded heat race, but later won his B-Main to gain access into the 50-lap feature event. After starting seventeenth on the grid in the A-Main, the Muscatine, Iowa native moved past four competitors to finish in the thirteenth position.

Saturday's $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdown at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland was unfortunately wiped out by Mother Nature. Full results from Friday at Roaring Knob can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.

The #15b team has opted to take the upcoming April 27-28 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition. They will return to action in two more Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles on May 4-5 in the states of Illinois and Kentucky. On Friday night, the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will pay $10,000 to the winner, while the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky will do the same on Saturday evening.
