Scott James Earns Podium Finish in Season Finale at Atomic Speedway

BRIGHT, Ind. - The Riggs Motorsports team and driver Scott James wrapped up their version of the 2011 racing season on Saturday night, November 5 at the Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. The rain-postponed 'Trick or Treat Topless 50' took place over the weekend at the former K-C Raceway and a $5,000 top prize was on the line.

Scott laid down the sixth fastest lap during the qualifying session and later finished second in his heat race. After drawing the pole position prior to the 50-lap feature event, Scott was a fixture towards the front of the field. The Bright, Indiana native eventually wound up a solid third in the finishing order behind only winner Josh McGuire and runner-up Jackie Boggs. With the 2011 season now in the books, the #81 team can reflect on their strong year. Scott entered fifty-two Dirt Late Model events in ’11 and reached victory lane on six different occasions. In addition, he amassed twenty Top Fives and thirty-three Top Tens. On the rigorous UMP Summer Nationals trail, Scott parlayed his consistent finishes into a second place effort in the final series point standings. * $1,500 Weekly Winner at the Florence (KY) Speedway
* Finished Second in UMP Summer Nationals Point Standings
* Finished Second in $10,000 World of Outlaws Show at the Bluegrass (KY)

* Finished Second in $5,000 Spring 50 at the Florence (KY) Speedway
* Finished Third in $10,000 Ralph Latham Memorial at the Florence (KY)
