Title: Brady Smith Bolsters Season with Legendary 100 Win Post by LMR on 09/22/11 at 2:15am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 21, 2011 ________________________________________ Brady Smith Bolsters Season with Legendary 100 Win; Starts Prepping for Knoxville SOLON SPRINGS, Wisc. (September 21) - Brady Smith, of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, continued his stellar month by sweeping the annual running of the 'Legendary 100' at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on September 15-17! On Thursday night in preliminary action, Brady ran second in his heat race prior to notching a convincing victory in the $300 to win qualifying main event. By virtue of the win over Joel Cryderman, Ashley Anderson, Don Shaw, and Chad Mahder, Brady earned the rights to the pole position for the 'Legendary 100' on Saturday evening. The driver known as the "Prodigy" once again proved to be the class of the field on Saturday at CLS. He grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag in the 'Legendary 100' and led flag-to-flag in the 40-lapper to notch his seventh triumph of the 2011 racing season. Brady picked up the $5,000 top prize by beating Steve Laursen, Darrell Nelson, Joel Cryderman, and A.J. Diemel to the checkers. "Our car performed flawlessly all weekend at Cedar Lake," exclaimed Smith earlier this week. "We did what we needed to do on Thursday night to get the pole and the track position for Saturday's big race. The last month or so has been pretty good to us and I hope that continues into Knoxville next weekend. I love racing at that place and have knocked down some good finishes in the past there, including winning the Knoxville Nationals in 2007. That would be really cool to win that race again and that is our goal heading into next weekend!" Brady and his #2 team have opted to take the upcoming September 23-24 weekend off from racing action and will instead start prepping their equipment for the 8th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' The historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa will play host to the three-day extravaganza from September 29-October 1. A pair of $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs will be held on Thursday and Friday at the 1/2-mile complex, while Saturday's 100-lap finale will pay $40,000 to the winner. Brady is a former 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' winner, as he took home the big payday back in 2007.
