Miller Captures a Top 5 in TN Super Series Action at Thunderhill Raceway

LYNCHBURG, TN (August 31) - Daniel Miller was back in championship mode this past weekend as the Tennessee SUPER SERIES made its stop at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, TN) for a $3000 To-win event. Miller headed into the event leading with 462 points.

Miller would put up a great qualifying effort with 12.544 second lap and a fifth place starting position in the 40 lap event. Heading into the feature, the team made the final adjustments for the long haul. When the green flag waved Miller rode fifth for the duration of the race. When the first caution of the event fell on lap 18 for the fourth place running of #33 Terry English, who fell out of the race with mechanical failure. Miller would restart fourth, behind race leader McEhiney, Putnam, Burroughs. Miller started out strong on the restart making a run on third place contender of Burroughs but as the laps went by Miller settled in the fourth position. Two more cautions would wave throughout the 40 laps, Miller made all efforts to gain positions but would bring home the D&D Motorsports, Millers Used Car, Paul Miller Auto Service, KUNTZ Powered, Team GRT chassis to a fourth place finish.

Miller would leave Thunderhill Raceway’s Tennessee SUPER SERIES event holding the TSS points lead with a 58 point lead over second place contender Tony Morris with 506 points and third place Corey Posey with 498 points.

Big Labor Day Weekend on tap for the D&D Motorsports Team as they head into the last leg of the Tennessee SUPER SERIES two events with championship focus on the mind. They will be at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, TN) on Saturday September 3rd, 2011 for the Tennessee SUPER SERIES $3000 To-Win 40 Lap event and then on Sunday September 4th at Duck River Speedway (Wheel, TN) for the grand finale of the Tennessee SUPER SERIES $3000 To-Win events of 2011.
