Title: Scott James Earns Top Ten in Iowa; Preps for Bad Boy 98 Post by LMR on 05/19/11 at 1:18am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 18, 2011 ________________________________________ Scott James Earns Top Ten in Iowa; Preps for Bad Boy 98 at Batesville BRIGHT, Ind. (May 18) - The Riggs Motorsports team and driver Scott James ventured west to the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Friday night, May 13. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolled into the Hawkeye State venue to sanction a $10,000 to win event. Scott qualified well in LOLMDS time trials and later finished third in his stacked heat race. After rolling off ninth on the grid in the 50-lap main event, Scott may have went too hard on his left rear tire, but still wound up tenth in the final rundown. Night two of the LOLMDS doubleheader scheduled for Saturday evening, May 14 at the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois was then washed out by Mother Nature. The $10,000 to win showdown was postponed due to rain showers to Tuesday, September 27. Full results from Burlington on Friday can be viewed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com. Up next for the #81 team will be a trip to the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on May 20-21 for the inaugural running of the ‘Bad Boy Mowers 98.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the unique two-day extravaganza, which kicks off on Friday night with qualifying and heat race action. Consolation races and the 98-lap main event will then headline Saturday’s portion of the program. The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be in Batesville this weekend to tape all of the wheel-to-wheel competition for broadcast on June 12. Scott will be gunning for the $10,000 winner’s check, along with the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro that will be given to the victor as a trophy.
