Bub McCool Resumes Pursuit of Lucas Oil Rookie Title This Weekend

Vicksburg, MS (05/11/11) – Current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Quarter Master Rookie of the Year point's leader, Bub McCool, will return to action with the tour this weekend in his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model with events in Iowa and Illinois.

Bub was last in action last Friday, May 6th as he entered a $3,000 to win, STARS Volunteer Racing Series event at Boyds Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) as 33 cars entered the event. He would fail to lock into the feature via time trials, but would race his way into the main event via b-main action. In the feature, McCool would go on to record an 11th place finish at the checkered flag.

The team planned to enter a World of Outlaws Super Late Model event on Saturday night at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia), but after discovering mechanical issues after Friday's event, the team opted to return home.

This weekend, McCool Motorsports is making the long tow north for a pair of $10,000 to win, LOLMDS events. On Friday the action will get underway at 34 Raceway (Burlington, Iowa) before moving on to LaSalle Speedway (LaSalle, Illinois) on Saturday night. Bub currently leads the rookie standings with the tour and is tied for eighth in the overall standings.
