Gregg Satterlee Cruises to Win at Lernerville Speedway

Rochester Mills, PA (May 9, 2011) Thanks to Mother Nature, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA, has only hit the track four times so far in 2011. But ‘The Truth’, as dubbed by World of Outlaws Late Model Series announcer Rick Eshelman, has been very successful in those four starts while failing to finish outside of the top-five in any of them.

The season got even better this past Friday, May 6 at Lernerville Speedway as Satterlee led all 25 laps to collect the first $1,500 regular show payday from the famed Sarver, PA oval. Gregg pulled away from Jared Miley, Dave Hess Jr., and Dave Murdick for his first win of the young 2011 season.

Satterlee’s 2011 season kicked off on Saturday, April 9 at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD with a fifth place finish behind race winner Gary Stuhler, Nick Dickson, Roy Deese Jr, and Jim Bernheisel. ‘We went down to Hagerstown just to get some track time,’ Gregg said. ‘With all rain we’ve been having around home that was the only way we could get out. It was good to go down there and get a top-five against those guys, Hagerstown has some great weekly competition.’ On Friday, April 15 Gregg captured a second place finish at Lernerville before rain washed away the weekend on April 22 and 23. The skies cleared long enough on April 29 for the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series show at Lernerville where Satterlee held on for a third place finish behind John Flinner and Tommy Beck.

Gregg and his Gregg Satterlee Racing team will head to Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA on Friday, May 13 for a regular show before heading south to Winchester Speedway on Saturday, May 14 for the $10,000 to-win ‘Gunters Honey Spring 50’ sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
