Title: Joe Martin, All 'Business' at Sharon Speedway
Post by LMR on 04/25/11 at 6:59pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 25, 2011

Joe Martin, All 'Business' at Sharon Speedway

Ringgold, PA (April 25, 2011) JM2 Motorsports and third year driver Joe Martin of Ringgold, PA captured his second win of the season in his second start of the season at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, OH this past Saturday, April 23. Martin has now become the all-time winner in the Fastrak Late Model division at the speedway with three wins.

Joe, or 'Business' as the JM2 Motorsports team likes to call him, shot out of his sixth place starting position to fourth on the initial start of the race and methodically maneuvered his way to the lead after a restart on lap two and never looked back as he took the checkers over Max Blair by .737 seconds for his second win of the season. In Victory Lane Martin mentioned that the weather almost kept him home, 'Actually, we weren't going to come tonight but with all of the rain we've had already this year, if Sharon was going to do everything they could to get it in, we were going to support them.' Joe continued, 'As we were loading up I couldn't find my driving equipment, my helmet, suit, gloves; everything was missing. I ended up scrambling around in the pits trying to find stuff to wear. I had Max's helmet on, Russ King's driving suit and had to buy a new Raceceiver. It was a strange way to get things started but it all worked out pretty good. I need to thank those guys a ton for letting me use their stuff, I wouldn't have been able to race without it and it was much appreciated.'

Martin went outside of his comfort zone to make his way to the front but his Faster Chassis likes the outside, 'I'm not 100% comfortable on the outside like that but the car sure likes it,' joked Joe. 'You really have to be up on the wheel when racing out there, have to make sure you hit your marks, if you don't, you could be in for a wild ride. I'm just thankful for everyone's help and all of my great sponsors, STS Rental, Juart Brothers, Martin Farms, Neese Trucking, Allegheny Crane Rental, Zero Wraps, JNJ Motorsports Media, LazFab, Ingram Racing Engines, Mike Blose Racing, Faster Chassis, Jeff Martin Lumber, Brocious Lumber, Ringgold Tire, AM/PM Personal Care Home, Cornerstone Chiropractic and B+C Meter. They all make it possible for us and I can't thank them enough.'

Up next for Joe and the JM2 Motorsports team is either a visit to Lernerville Speedway for a UMP Pro Dirt Car event with the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series or Dog Hollow Speedway's Opening Night on Friday, April 29. Then the team will head to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA for a $1,200 to-win Fastrak Northeast sanctioned event to be run with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
