Eric Cooley to Open 2011 in NeSmith Action at East Bay

Fulton, MS (02/23/11) – Two-time defending, NeSmith National Late Model Series Champion, Eric Cooley, will open his 2011 campaign with a tripleheader with the tour at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) this weekend, February 24th-26th.

After a successful 2010 season, which saw Eric claim his second straight NeSmith title, the young driver is eager to get another this year's tour underway. He will begin the season with the NeSmith tour, but at this point is unsure of whether or not he will be chasing points as he hopes to compete in more Super Late Model events in 2011.

This weekend he will enter three separate events at East Bay Raceway Park. Action gets underway on Thursday with a $2,000 to win event. On Friday another $2,000 to win race will be held, and the weekend will be concluded by a $3,000 to win race on Saturday night.
