Title: Jason Covert Closes Ten Win 2010 Season at Hagerstown’s Octoberfest Post by LMR on 11/12/10 at 1:14am For Immediate Release: Barry Klinedinst Motorsports contact@jnjmotorsportsmedia.com JNJ Motorsports Media Jason Covert Closes Ten Win 2010 Season at Hagerstown’s Octoberfest York Haven, PA (November 11, 2010) Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the three time Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion and now two time Three State Flyers Series Champion, Jason Covert’s 2010 season came to a close this past weekend with a fourth place finish at Hagerstown Speedway’s annual Octoberfest 350 in Hagerstown, MD. Jason and his Barry Klinedinst owned Pre-Mach, Inc., Red Wing Shoes, Hershey’s Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #43A captured ten feature wins in 2010 en route to his second consecutive Three State Flyers Series championship and wins coming at facilities such as Bedford Speedway, Dog Hollow Speedway, Hagerstown Speedway, Natural Bridge Speedway, Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex, and Williams Grove Speedway. Eight of Covert’s ten wins came in either Three State Flyers Series or Unified Force Race Championship Series events. Jason also entered ten national series events’ coming home with four top-ten’s as he battled with the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The BK Motorsports team entered events with the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series and the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek as well gathering four top-five’s in five events between the two. ‘It doesn’t seem like we raced a whole lot but looking back, we raced 45 times this year’ Jason said from his home in York Haven, PA. ‘And to have 10 wins is a great season for anyone, but I think we could have had a few more wins. Just like in any other sport or any other driver, they always want to do better and our team is no exception. We were a lot better the second half of the season but some of our finishes didn’t show how good we actually were. Overall we’re happy with our 2010 season but it certainly could have been better.’ ‘Racing like this is a dream come true for me and I have to thank Barry Klinedinst for letting me drive his race car,’ expressed a very grateful Covert. ‘Barry and Bryan Klinedinst give me the best possible piece every time the #43A is unloaded. It’s not just them; it’s the whole crew, who make our team what it is. Preparing these race cars is a very tedious process and without all of us in the shop throughout the week busting our tails, we wouldn’t be as successful as we are. These guys are very proud of the work they do and it shows every time we arrive at a race track. I want to thank everyone for their dedication to the team.’ Jason continued, ‘Our sponsors are also very instrumental in what we do and I’m thankful to have such dedicated companies supporting us. Businesses like Pre-Mach, Inc., Red Wing Shoes, Hershey Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis to name a few and of course American Racer Tires. The people at American Racer Tires have continued to give me excellent service and the best product they have to put me in position to run well each and every week. I have to thank them for that as well as the rest of our sponsors.’ ‘Just like every other year, we’re going to take a look at all of the schedule’s when they are available and make a decision on what we want to do,’ Jason said of his 2011 plans. ‘We have to do what is financially acceptable to us and if that is staying within a few hours of home, then that’s what we’ll do. We enjoy traveling but as a race team, it has to make financial sense for us to do it. Regardless of what we do, we’re excited for 2011 and ready to build off of the success we’ve had the past few years.’ Jason Covert and Barry Klinedinst Racing would like to thank all of their sponsors for the 2010 season: Pre-Mach, Inc., Red Wing Shoes, Hershey Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Baker Carburetion, Bam’s Auto Center, Kuppy’s Diner, Dennis Eberly Building & Remodeling, American Racer Tires, Lias Tires, Kendall Oil, Dyers Rods, Stuhler Signs, KRS Graphics, VP Race Fuels, JNJ Motorsports Media, Beyea Headers, Trick, MX Integra Springs, Quarter Master, and consulting from Robbie Allen Enterprises For more information on Jason Covert and Barry Klinedinst Motorsports visit their website at www.kmotorsports43a.com |
