Rain Strikes Again … Davenport Speedway Cancelled

DAVENPORT, Ia. (August 13, 2010) – A line of strong thunderstorms crossing Eastern Iowa late Friday afternoon, washed out the racing program at the Davenport Speedway. The evening’s races were to be sponsored by Kile Motorsports.

Racing will return to the quarter-mile dirt oval next Friday, August 20th, weather permitting. The following Friday, August 27th, is the Davenport Speedway 2010 Season Championships.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5pm. Hot laps are at 6pm and racing starts at 6:30pm.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.
