Billy Moyer Jr. Claims Win #6 of 2010

Batesville, Arkansas (08/03/10) –Billy Moyer Jr. continued the best racing season of his young career over the weekend by powering his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Chassis/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to his sixth feature win of the year.

Jr. Motorsports set out to enter a pair of COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model events over the course of last weekend. However, Friday night's event would be marked by tragedy as a Malden Speedway employee was fatally injured during a b-main, and as a result the balance of the program was canceled. Billy and everyone at Jr. Motorsports extend their sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Earl Grubbs.

On Saturday, the team entered a $2,000 to win event at Northeast Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Billy started the night by winning his heat race from the second starting spot, which gave him the third starting spot for the forty lap feature. Early in the event Moyer Jr. would battle Bill Frye for the lead before taking over the top spot on lap five. He would go on to lead the next 35 laps unchallenged to claim his sixth win of the season!

This weekend, August 6th-7th, Billy will go into battle with the Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Super Late Models in two, $3,000 to win events. On Friday night, Billy will be in action at one of his favorite venues, Tri City Speedway (Pontoon Beach, Illinois) before moving on to Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, Missouri) on Saturday night.
