Ethan Hunter Motorsports Prepares for Southern Nationals Run

Tiger, Georgia – Ethan Hunter and his EHM race team are hard at work in their Tiger, Georgia shop preparing their #15 Rocket Chassis Race Car for the upcoming Ray Cook’s Southern Nationals. The team plans to run the entire ten-race series in hopes of picking up the $5,353 champions check. “We ran the whole series in 2008 and did pretty well. We had some motor issues that set us back but we still ended up ninth in the final point standings. Considering the guys that ran the whole series that year I think we did pretty well.” Hunter said.

Hunter now feels more prepared than ever to take on a touring challenge. “We finally have our engine program in really good shape. We will have a few engines available to us. We have a Randy Clary motor that was just freshened and then we have our Custom Race Engine. So we can pick the right one for the track we will be racing at.”

“Our Rocket Chassis is definitely up to the task and it’s ready to go with our GW Performance shock package. So I feel like we are really prepared and have a good shot at it.” Hunter added. Hunter has already found victory lane three times thus far in 2010 and the young Georgia wheelman is poised for more wins. “We have all the right pieces in place to put ourselves in victory lane. Now we just need to have good luck on our side and we can add to that win total.” Hunter said.

Ray Cook's Southern Nationals Series kicks off on Monday night, July 12 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The popular Southeastern Dirt Late Model mini-series will once again sanction ten events in a matter of only thirteen days in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. The ultra-competitive tour has five events on the schedule that will pay $5,300 to win and five shows that will pay $3,500 to the winner.
