GREEN VALLEY PREPS FOR 4TH of JULY VOLUNTEER RACING SERIES: FIREWORKS & FAST CARS

Glencoe, AL (6/23/10) --- This week the Green Valley Speedway is readying for Sunday nights, 4th of July "FIREWORKS & FAST CARS" spectacle, as the Volunteer Racing series brings their high-speed Super Late Model touring series to the North-East Alabama dirt track. Dennis Harker (track owner) is hosting benefit for local firefighters, that'll see proceeds going right back into Etowah Co. Assisting in the 4th of July celebration will be the Alabama Pyrotechnics Guild, with a professional fireworks celebration Sunday night. Topping the list of many SLM's expected includes; THE CHATTANOOGA FLASH Ronnie Johnson, Randy THE DREAM Weaver and Billy Ogle Jr. along with the possibilities of Georgian's Clint Smith and Shane Clanton. Not only will SLM's be in competition but both GVS' local LLM (Steel-Head) and Crate LM's will be vying for a pair of $1,444 to-WIN feature races. Gates Open early at 2PM CST, with Racing beginning after 6PM CST. Admission for the grandstands is only $15, with Pit Passes $25.
