Anthony Burroughs Records Fourth Win of 2010

Muscle Shoals, Alabama (06/16/10) –Anthony Burroughs piloted his #121 ALT Transportation/Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Wall-2-Wall Racing Engine Super Late Model to his first ever NeSmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model win of the year on Friday night, and it marked his fourth triumph of the 2010 season.

Anthony entered two NeSmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model events over the course of last weekend in Alabama. On Friday, he was in action at Penton Raceway in Penton, Alabama. It would prove to be a great night as Burroughs started the night by setting fast time in qualifications to earn the pole for the feature event. Anthony would lead the entire race, but would have to fend off the challenges of William Thomas for much of the event. Burroughs went on to claim the $2,000 victory, which was his fourth win of the year.

Anthony and the team made the trek to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Saturday night for another NeSmith Super Dirt Car event. It was not the best of nights for Burroughs as he was under the weather for much of the day and almost decided to not even race. He ultimately made the decision to race, and qualified in the 7th position for the $2,500 to win event. He would battle throughout the top ten for much of the event before recording a 10th place finish. Full results from the weekend can be found at www.nesmithracing.com.

Anthony went to the hospital after Saturday night’s program and was diagnosed as having a heat stroke.*He has been recuperating for much of this week as he replenishes his electrolytes.

This weekend, Anthony plans to return to action, and he will visit North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Friday, June 18th looking for another win in the $1,500 to win main event.*For more information, please visit www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com .
