FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Bart Hartman Enjoys Successful Memorial Day Weekend Highlighted by Zanesville Win!

(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) Bart Hartman and his #75 Dirt Late Model team reached victory lane for the first time in 2010 on Friday night, May 28 at the nearby Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio! The unsanctioned 'Late Model Memorial Race' was held at MCS last Friday and the program honored multiple Late Model legends, including Bart's father Butch Hartman. With that extra incentive, Bart won his heat race and later started the feature event from the outside of the front row. The driver known to fans across the country as the "Bartman" grabbed the top spot in the 'Late Model Memorial Race' around the halfway point from leader Doug Drown and raced to the $3,000 triumph.

The Bart Hartman Racing (BHR) team then trekked to the newly resurrected West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia on Saturday and Sunday to close out the ultra-busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. Bart won his heat race on Saturday, led laps 11-24 of the 30-lap feature event, and wound up second in the final rundown of the $8,000 to win program behind winner Steve Shaver. A similar story unfolded on Sunday in the $10,000 to win show at WVMS, as the Zanesville, Ohio native started twelfth in the 40-lap A-Main and passed ten competitors en route to another stellar runner-up effort behind winner Steve Shaver. You can view complete results from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader at the 5/8-mile speedplant by accessing www.worldofoutlaws.com.

"It was a good weekend for us, but honestly we had a great shot to win all three races," commented Hartman today over the telephone. "Steve (Shaver) had an awesome car at West Virginia Motor Speedway both nights and congratulations to him and his team. If a couple of things shook out differently, maybe we could have gotten a win at WVMS too. Who knows, but it felt great to run up front all weekend and to win at Zanesville in front of a bunch of family and friends was pretty special!"

The BHR team has elected to take the upcoming June 4-5 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition to prepare for the 'Dream 100.' The highest-paying event in our industry will take place at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 11-12. The winner of the 100-lapper will receive a huge $100,000 payday. Bart found himself in victory lane the last time he visited the "Big E," as he won the 'World 100' last September. Additional information on the 'Dream 100' weekend can be found online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.
