Title: Delmas Conley Adds Another Win at K-C to Hall of Fame Career Post by LMR on 05/20/10 at 3:07pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 20, 2010 Delmas Conley Adds Another Win at K-C to Hall of Fame Career (WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Delmas Conley, the patriarch of the famed Conley racing family, recorded his astounding 738th career feature victory last Saturday night, May 15 at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio! The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer qualified well and later finished second in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot in the A-Main. Delmas steadily pulled way from the field during the feature event to notch his first win of the season and the $1,500 payday over Duane Chamberlain, Nick Bocook, Audie Swartz, and Greggie Oliver. His son Rod Conley was also in action last weekend, as the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series (ASLMS) sanctioned a pair of events in Ohio and West Virginia. On Saturday evening, the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio played host to a $4,000 to win show. "Hot Rod" laid down the fastest lap during qualifying and later won his B-Main. After starting seventeenth in the A-Main, Rod settled for a fifteenth place finish at Hilltop. Sunday's $5,000 to win program at the resurrected West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia was then washed-out prior to the 40-lap main event. Complete results from the weekend can be viewed online at www.kc-raceway.com and www.hilltopspeedway.org. With R.J. Conley once again sidelined by a broken wrist this upcoming weekend, Delmas and Rod will be the lone two Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers in racing action. Weather pending, both drivers plan to travel to the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on Friday night, May 21 and the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio on Saturday evening, May 22. A $1,500 top prize is up for grabs in a regular weekly show at Skyline, while a $3,000 winner’s check is on the line in the annual ‘Late Model Memorial Race’ at Zanesville.
