North Alabama & Corinth Up Next For Ross Camponovo

Clarksdale, Mississippi (05/19/10) –Ross Camponovo will return to action with the PRO Super Late Model Series this weekend in a pair of events in his #18 R.C. Motorsports/Rocket/RPM Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Last weekend Ross set out to compete in a pair of MSCCS Super Late Model events. On Friday, he made his first ever trip to Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the $2,000 to win event. Nineteen Super Late Models were on hand, and after qualifying 7th fastest in his group, he started 3rd in a b-main event. He would go on to race his way a second place finish in the b-main, which gave him the 12th starting spot for the feature. On the first lap, Camponovo would use the outside line to race his way up to 7th, and looked to be on his way to the front before several cars spun in front of him on the third lap, leaving him with nowhere to go. Ross would sustain enough damage that he was forced to call it a night. He was credited with a 17th place finish.

Saturday night's MSCCS event at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi would fall victim to Mother Nature.

This weekend R.C. Motorsports plans to enter a pair of PRO Super Late Model Series events. On Friday, the team will be in action at North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) as they go after the $2,000 top prize at the lightning-fast, 1/3 mile oval.

On Saturday, Camponovo will enter the second night of the double header at Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi with another $2,000 to win, 40 lap feature.
