Title: Steve Casebolt Racing Scores Two Wins Over the Weekend Post by LMR on 05/11/10 at 1:37pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 10, 2010 Casebolt Racing Scores Two Wins Over the Weekend RICHMOND, IN (May 10, 2010) - Casebolt Racing brought their Preferred Sandblasting, Dixie Chopper Lawnmower sponsored racecar to victory lane this passed weekend on two separate occasions. The team competed in two unsanctioned events in the state of Ohio and emerged victorious after both races. On Friday night the team traveled to Coal Grove, Ohio where the track was hosting an unsanctioned $5,000 to win event. Steve started on the pole for the main event and lead around 35 laps of the feature. "We were thrilled to go to Rocky top Speedway and get a $5,000 paycheck this week. Rocky Top is a track that we had never raced at before so we were excited to walk away with a win and a check", commented Steve. Steve had several challenges from regional standout Eddie Carrier on his way to victory lane. "Eddie runs extremely well here and has won a lot of races at this track so we knew he would be tough. I knew if I didn't make any mistakes it would be hard for him to get around me, so I just kind of played it cool and took my time in order not to make any mistakes." After Friday's win the team traveled to KC Raceway in Alma, Ohio (one of Steve's favorite tracks) and scored yet another win. After timing in 2nd fastest among the field Steve drove from a 5th place starting spot in the fast dash to 2nd. This gave the team a front row outside starting spot for the feature. Steve led all 30 laps of the feature and worked his way through lapped traffic without any serious challenges. "We felt like we had a very good car at KC, maybe even better than Rocky Top last night. KC is a tough place to get a handle on so for our car to be that good was very encouraging", said Steve. Fellow Richmond, IN driver Duane Chamberlain finished 2nd followed by 2009 World 100 winner Bart Hartman in 3rd. Sunday the team turned some laps at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, VA to further prepare for the next series event on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour schedule. The team is now in Welcome, NC at Richard Childress Racing getting ready for this Saturday's race at Wythe Raceway. Steve is currently in 8th place in the championship points standings but just a few points separate 3rd-8th in the standings.
