Bub McCool To Battle The Swamp This Weekend

Vicksburg, MS (05/05/10) – Bub McCool will take his #57J McCool Logging/Trakstar/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this weekend in the Battle of the Swamp of Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, Georgia.

Bub returned to action last Friday night at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky in a $3,000 to win, UMP Super Late Model event. After finishing 3rd in his heat race, McCool started 13th in the feature. During the course of the event, he would battle his way to a fourteenth place finish.

On Saturday night, a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Series event was scheduled at Paducah International Raceway, but early morning rain forced the cancelation of the event.

This weekend, May 6th-8th, McCool Motorsports will travel to Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, Georgia for the 1st Annual Battle of the Swamp. The 10,000 to win event will mark the first time that Super Late Models have been at the facility in over ten years. The weekend will get underway with an open practice session on Thursday night. On Friday, May 7th time trials and heat race action will be held, and on Saturday, May 8th b-mains and the 50 lap finale will be held.
