COMP Cams MSRA Returns To Action With Double Shot

Beebe, Arkansas (04/27/10) – The COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model tour will return to action this weekend with a pair of big events in Louisiana and Arkansas as the series travels to USA Speedway and 67 Speedway.

After losing both events last weekend at Malden Speedway and I-30 Speedway to heavy rain, the tour will look to outrun Mother Nature this weekend.

With only two events in the books defending COMP Cams MSRA Champion, Billy Moyer Jr., who won both opening events, currently sits atop the point standings with the tour’s only other Champion, Joey Mack, residing in the second spot.  Rounding out the top ten drivers in the current standings are Jon Mitchell (Texas), Kyle Beard (Arkansas), Dewaine Hottinger (Arkansas), Austin Rettig (Missouri), Jeff Sloan (Missouri), Jeff Floyd (Arkansas), Terry Henson (Arkansas), Charlie Cole (Arkansas), and Brandon Smith (Arkansas).

The Kuntz & Company Rookie of the Year competition is starting to take form with Charlie Cole and Brandon Smith deadlocked atop the standings with a slim advantage over Shane Stephens and Wesley Crutchfield.

This weekend the tour will see a host of drivers look to drop in on the action and escape with the winner’s loot.  In addition the drivers in the top ten in points, other competitors, who have already voiced an intent to compete in one or both of this weekend’s events include Jon Kirby, Wesley Crutchfield, Eddie Provence, Bill Frye, Kyle Cummings, Clay Fisher, Robbie Stuart, Allen Tippen, Ray Moore, and many more!

The weekend will get underway with a pair of firsts for the tour as they make their first ever trip to Louisiana, and they also make their first ever trip to the brand new USA Speedway in Sterlington, Louisiana.  The ¼ mile oval will host a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, 30 lap event on Friday, April 30th.  Gates open at 4pm with racing action at 8pm.  For more information on USA Speedway, please visit www.USASpeedwayLLC.com .
