Boom Briggs Heading to Texas with the World of Outlaws!

Bear Lake, PA (March 23, 2010) Rick ‘Boom’ Briggs will continue on with his 2010 season after opening his 2010 season at the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in February. Boom will travel to Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX and Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, TX with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for two, $10,000 to win events.

Briggs will leave his Meridien Hardwoods, Sorbera Family Chiropractic, Horton Equipment, Asel Enterprises, Briggs Transport, Tony Stec Lumber, Chub Frank Racing, CJ’s Auto Transport sponsored 99B Rocket Chassis in Bear Lake, PA as he will be driving a second car owned by Chris Brown out of Houston, TX.

‘I have the chance to go down to Texas and drive for Chris Brown, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get laps at a different facility and to possibly help Chris out with a few things while we’re down there,’ Boom commented. ‘The more laps I get now will help me out throughout the season back here at home. I’m excited to get back behind the wheel and get the 2010 season moving.’ Briggs continued, ‘We learned a lot down at Volusia in February even though we didn’t run all that well. I think the laps we got in Florida and the laps we’ll gain down in Texas will feed into what we want to do this season and I wouldn’t mind having a seat on that longhorn in victory lane either,’ Boom said with a smile.

Boom will be in action this upcoming weekend on Friday, March 26 at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, TX and Saturday, March 27 at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, TX. Both events pay $10,000 to the winner and are sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Briggs will spend two Friday’s competing locally at Lernerville Speedway on April 9 and 16 before heading to Bedford Speedway for a $10,000 to-win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Friday, April 23 and then McKean County Raceway on Saturday, April 24 for a $2,000 to-win ULMS event. Then Boom will start his quest for the 2010 O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series championship as the series opens up on Friday, April 30 at Lernerville Speedway with the $5,000 to-win ‘Showdown in Sarvertown’. The opening ASLMS weekend wraps up on Saturday, May 1 at KC Raceway weekend with the $10,000 to-win ‘Classic’
