Eric Cooley Eyes $2,500 At North Alabama This Saturday

Fulton, MS (03/18/10) – Eric Cooley will enter his second Super Late Model event of the year on Saturday in his #33c Cooley Transport/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/CT525 Racing Engine Super Late Model as he travels to North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for the $2,500 to win event.

Despite having limited seat time behind the wheel of a Super Late Model, Eric has already enjoyed success including qualifying for the main event 2009 edition of the Cotton Pickin’ 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) as well as the feature event at the 2010 Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama).

This Saturday, March 20th, Cooley will once again hop behind the wheel of a Super Late Model as he chases the $2,500 top prize in the event at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama, which will be co-sanctioned by the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series and the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series. Eric has won several events at North Alabama Speedway over the past few years, but has never competed in the Super Late Model division at Jeff Greer’s, lightning fast, ¼ mile oval. For more information on the event, please visit www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com, www.ProDirtCarSeries.com, and www.NeSmithRacing.com .

Last Saturday the 2009 NeSmith National Late Model Series Champion entered the $1,000 to win Bullring Bash for NeSmith Crate Late Models at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Twenty-five Crate Late Models entered the event, and in qualifying, Cooley laid down the second fastest lap to earn the second starting position alongside pole-sitter, Justin McRee for the feature event. As the feature went green, Cooley assumed the second position behind leader McRee. Cooley would chase the leader for the first 15 laps before Ronnie Johnson slipped by Eric on the high-side, which relegated Cooley to the third position. Cooley would go on to chase McRee and Johnson to the checkered flag to record a third place finish.

Eric and everyone at Cooley Motorsports would like to thank all of their sponsors, which include 78 Towing & Recovery Inc., Cooley Transport Inc., Twisted Designs (Fayette, AL), GW Performance, MSRMafia.com, Victory Circle By Moyer, and Simpson Race Products.

Cooley Motorsports is currently looking for new sponsors and marketing partners. For more information on joining the team, please visit www.EricCooleyRacing.com .
