PASSCAR STREET STOCKS HEADED TO BAKERSFIELD FOR 1-800LOANMART SERIES OPENER!

(Perris, CA, June 11, 2013) Even though there is no racing at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, June 15th, the tracks 1-800 LoanMart Street Stock cars from the Amsoil OilTWins.com PASSCAR Series will be in action when they travel to the Bakersfield Speedway for round #1 of the prestigious “1-800LoanMart Challenge Series.” The race is a full points paying event in the PASSCAR Series and will match the PAS drivers against the stars from Bakersfield. Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM and the first race will be at 6:00.

Saturday’s race will be the first of four in the 1-800LoanMart Series. Each of the events will carry a purse of $5,425.00. The winner of each race will get $1,000.00 and they will pay $100.00 just to finish last.

The full purse is: 1st $1000, 2nd $450, 3rd $425, 4th $400, 5th $375, 6th $350, 7th $325, 8th $300, 9th $275, 10th $250, 11th $150, 12th $125, 13th - 22nd $100. Total Purse $5,425.

At the end of the four races, the high point driver will earn an extra $1,000.00. Round #2 will be at The PAS on July 20th followed by the third round at Bakersfield on August 10th and the series finale back at The PAS on August 31st.

In addition to the purse, 1-800LoanMart is putting up $100.00 in tow money for each away car (PAS regulars who trek to Bakersfield and Bakersfield regulars who come to The PAS events). The tow money is welcome by all drivers and is seldom seen in today’s racing.

"You don't see what 1-800LoanMart is doing - offering $100.00 in tow money for away cars - that often," Bakersfield promoter Scott Schweitzer said when the deal was announced in January. "To see them step up and offer that is a great deal for racing and the racers. It should make great nights of racing at both facilities."

Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian thinks the series is going to be a good one.

“The money is there and the prestige is there, too,” Kazarian said on Monday. “I really hope a lot of our cars head up that way on Saturday and they better have their spurs on as the Bakersfield drivers are fast. Hopefully a lot of their racers will also come down to The PAS for our races in the series. They always put on a good show when they visit and our fans really enjoy seeing them.”

Camping for all events at The PAS is available for $25.00 per night. The campground will open at noon on Friday. Tailgating in the spectator parking lot will begin at 1:00 PM for all PAS events as well.

Fans can participate for free in The PAS 2013 Fantasy League at: http://www.shorttrackin.com/. There are separate divisions for the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and the Amsoil OilTwins.com PASSCAR classes of the LoanMart Street Stocks, Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks and the Modifieds. Players can compete in as many divisions as they like. The winner of the USAC/CRA game will win a 20-lap ($240.00 value) driving session on the famous PAS half-mile clay oval courtesy of the Sprint Car Driving Experience. The winner of the Modified group will take receive a $50.00 gift certificate for Amsoil products from The Oil Twins. More prizes will be announced as they come in.

Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds (home of October’s Southern California Fair), approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour North of San Diego. To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, exit on the Ramona Expressway and go three miles east to the fairgrounds.
