The California Comeback 2013
01/27/13 at 2:50pm

If ya think about it, as far as racing goes the state of California has really seen a comeback.

It wasn't too long ago the Stockton 99 was on the ropes and now the place is doing well. Now there is that new dirt track in Stockton that has a nice schedule with big shows on tap.

Ole Rocky Hill was a dead joint that has come back from the dead last year and this year is looking good.

Finally the replacement for Mesa Marin will open in 13, saw some pics, looks very nice and the track lists many good events, best of luck to the new Kern County Raceway.

Irwindale, that show palace was dark last year and now is poised to race again. Way too nice of a track to sit idle, the dragstrip there is wildly successfull also.

Victorville was bloodied and against the roped waiting for the ref to call it over, yet Scott Burns gave it some smelling salts and has something like 10 races this year.

Then Orange Show, wouda thunk that place would be covered in dirt and run? Thanks to Scott Burns again for opening many eyes, that track has 11 races on tap I believe.

While running for sometime, gotta give ole gal Merced some atta boys.

Yep so far Chowchilla seems to be the only disappointment.
