Caprice, Monte Carlo, Cadillac all do well.

2.73 is the normal rear gear.  Some 2.56 or 3.08.

Turbo 350 transmission.

My dad and I have a couple 75 montes and wondering if it's worth building them or should we build something else. Ive seen a race or two online and it seems the newer cars are faster especially the cadillac's.
Are they running in first gear?
What spring rates are being used?

Cadillacs are probably the preferred-- but Caprices, Monte Carlos, Malibus, Chevelles can all be competitive too-- it just depends how well they are prepped.

A couple years ago, the Johnsons, Steven and Tyler, dominated the American Stocks with Monte Carlos. Only one of the top-3 in points right now is a Cadillac also.

In my opinion, there's not one dominant type of car.  4-5 years ago the Caprices did well, then the Johnsons in Monte Carlos, then the Caddys.

Yes, running 1st gear.

Springs depend on car/driver preference.  I am putting 900/1000 225/200 in mine as a starting point.
