Where are you planning on racing? Some tracks only allow rwd's. This is your fist consideration.

For Johnson26: Thank you for your reply. The 4 Banger concept up here is to take a car off the street, put in a roll cage, and go racing. I have a Mini-Stock I ran at Chow in 2006/07. It would be too much work. They want no gutting (except driver's door), wire bundles intact, stock gas tank, stock bumpers without any reinforcement, etc. Someone told me they look for a parking brake as evidence of compliance with the concept!!
For Racing Fan: Thank you for your reply. Both front and rear drive are O K.

1990 and newer Acura integras are about as good as you will get. Also 1991 and newer Nissan 240sx are great if you want a RWD. BOth have 130+ Hp stock. and great handling suspension.

Second generation bone stock Ford Probes will blow the doors off a Mild cheater Honda! They are a bit heavy but plenty to work with!

Is there a compression rule? 1991 BMW 318is. Only 1991, came with DOHC with factory adjustable cam gears so youcan dial in your cranking compression.
