GOP unveils big plan to fix everything..

Romneys plan: Huge tax breaks for the top. 35% to 25%. And cut spending (cut middle class jobs.)

Seems like a good way to funnel more money from the middle to the top... again. The business world has restructured... for good. Those jobs aren't ever coming back. The more money you give to the top the more money they spend on doors. lol. The only thing I remotely found interesting is his crack down on China.

How does this plan fix the debt ceiling plan that we care so much about?

We'll see how excited the US population is about granting more money to the top when the majority believes they should pay more. Should be good debates in 2012

My plan:
Tax all imports 15-25% (Other countries are doing it to us)
Return top tax code to Reagan 84.
Eliminate all job exporting for US companies. (You send jobs over seas you loose all rights to sell products to the US. Or sell products to the US with the outside teriff rate of 15-25%)
Remove all US troops from the middle east OR require middle east countries to pay for our occupation.
Open up some drilling with the requirement that all oil drilled in the US (fuel based oil) stays in the US.
Make indian casinos pay taxes.
Stop all foreign aid to other countries.
Make ALL lobbying by a corporation with $$ tied to it a federal crime

Second term:
Eliminate the CHP - For the simple fact that most are *****

How does cutting spending cut middle class jobs? I don't see the connection. And cutting spending is how you fix the whole debt ceiling thing.

Road work is gov spending. Creating an overpass to make traffic run smoother in the city is gov spending. Hiring teachers is gov spending. Fixing the freeways is gov spending. Having park rangers to run our national parks is gov spending. and so on and so on. All of these are middle class jobs that the GOP wants to cut to keep or give more tax cuts to the top. So all these people get their jobs cut and are unemployed and sent to the poor house. The top gets their tax cut and obtains more wealth and the gap increases more and more until it implodes. The GOP wants to eliminate jobs period. The same way they downsize their companies and send jobs overseas.

Make indian casinos pay taxes.

I disagree. The government put these folks on reservations and made them autonomous nations. The government & business has done nothing but take from these people, and everytime one of these nations try to do something to make it better for their people the government takes again. Let me give you an example. A mining company had a contract with the Spokane Indians. When that contract was due to expire, the Spokane told them, they were going to do it themselves. So what does company do? They go to the government to get them to force the Nation to negotiate a new contract. Well they lost, but, its just one of many mining examples where the Indians get screwed by government & business. Leave them alone

Most of those jobs you discuss are supposed to be done at the state level not the federal level. The federal gov't doesn't hire teachers. The federal gov't doesn't fix roads and over passes. They do employ the park rangers at national parks so at least you got one.

How about we eliminate the dep of energy. the gov't workers there aren't creating anything. And how about eliminating the dept of education. the gov't workers there aren't teaching any kids. How about drastically simplifying our tax laws so we could elminate or signifcantly downsize the IRS.

Our gov't purpose should not be "to hire people". imo it is there job to attempt to create an enviornment that allows business, large and small to actually create products, services and therefore jobs.

Did the GOP specifically pin point cutting construction/infastructure jobs you talk about. I doubt it. It is more likely you have pin pointed that these are the jobs that the evil GOP would eliminate while they are stepping on fuzzy little kittens.

So you really think that "the GOP wants to eliminate jobs period"? To what end? How does eliminating jobs here help all the rich people the GOP is apparently catering to?

If higher taxes is the answer then why is california in such bad shape. Our state legistlature passed the biggest tax increase in california's history a few years ago. CA has among the highest income tax rates, sales tax rates and gas tax rates in the US. It didn't fix our budget crisis. It didn't increase revenues. Please explain. The tax increase was implemented in 2008 (after the recession started) so you can't really blame it on that.

Indians: What kind of country would this have been if we didn't take it over? Their kids use our school systems, and their people use our system just like any American? We used the blacks as slaves in shackles for a few hundred years. You ok with Casinos being built tax free in Harlem, Detroit and Atlanta? IMO giving someone an award for an atrocity caused to their great, great, great grandparents is like convicting someone of a crime their ancestors did. The ugly fact is they lost the war, we gave them some land that they could use to protect the history of their people for future generations but instead they have turned the focus of indian land into vegas style casinos that are exempt from from paying taxes. My answer: Tax the indian casinos or legalize gambling in ca and tax that.

Taxes: Bush tax cuts equalled a economic implosion. Tax cuts for the top do not equal more jobs. It means more wealth for the top. I'm ok with cutting out the waste but the GOP wants more.

GOP: If it was up to the GOP minimum wage would be 2 dollars an hour. These corporations send jobs overseas to make record profits. US jobs ARE NOT a priority for this party, profits are.

WRONG,,, they lost the war, now they are taking advantage of the system, just like Billy said, they use the same roads we do, they send their kids to some of the same schools we do, ETC.... so THEY should be treated just like the rest of US are,, unless they want to be confined to THEIR country and borders be put up,,fair is fair,,,and like Kdawg has said before, THEY should have fought harder,lol,,,,this is America now, join it or get out,JMOO
