Just a note to add on overheating.  I've been running hot all year using a 6 blade fan I've had on there for a while.  Brady told me to change the fan.  I changed it and the temp went from 230 to 200.  By looking at the old fan you would never know the fins were flattening out from age.  It felt pretty rigid but I guess not rigid enough.

Like a lot of you guys we've been fighting heating problems in our Super Stock for a couple of years.  Tried more fans, radiators  water pumps, restrictors than I thought were possible and think we finally found the combo that works.
Put a new Griffin single pass radiator with 1 1/4" tubes in with no restrictor, a good pump  Summit's house brand, CVProducts 4 blade 32 degree 18" fan that hogracer recommended.  Built a new shroud with fan buried in 3/4 deep.  Running 25% reduction pullies. Fan is about 3 3/4" from the radiator.
Tried a glycol based anti freeze recommended in a racing mag by CR Radiators and ran 250 with that.  This weekend we went to straight distilled water with a bottle of Hyper Lube( same stuff as Water Wetter).  With a real good 355 engine and temperatures in the low 90's at both tracks we ran this weekend barely hit 200 degrees with long greens in the mains.
Don't know if this will work for everyone but it sure seems to for us.  Quite a relief and leaves more time to work on other stuff. Hope this can help some of you.
