There was like 20-23 Karts, and it was a "run what ya brung" exibition, but was broken into stock and modified. There was 7 in stock and the rest in modifieds. There was a couple of 2 stroke karts and the rest were 4 strokes. I don't know all of the guys from Bakersfield, but the guy that took first in modified, races an IMCA mod there. I think Brad Pounds and Clay Daly were in the Kart Mod class, but not sure. I started on the front row of the stock class and won. My son Jake Jones finished second in the Mod class and Mike Keebler from Lompoc, came in 5th or 6th in the mods. But it was just a lot of fun racing under the lights and the track is really smooth, flat and fast, but you can get really loose if you get up out of the groove. I would have liked to have gotten a little more track time, but it was cool. I think all the guys that participated had a good time. I know we sure did!
