SuperKart Racing Bakersfield Closing

I just received an e-mail that due to a raised lease, Superkart Racing in Bakersfield will be closing at the end of this month.

Its unfortunate to hear that a place that a lot of drivers go to turn some laps in the time off will no longer be available.

They prompted anyone that had points or gift certificates to use them by May 31st.

It is a sad day for all of us at Superkart Racing. Our landlord is raising our lease
in this current economy so we are being forced to leave.

We have lost our lease! Come in to race for the last time by May 31.

If you have points or gift certificates, please come in before the closing date to
receive your races.

All parties scheduled will go off as planned.

Thank you for your support through the five years we have been in operation.

Funny thing is when they opened that thing up five years ago I met with the owner and he told me he owned the whole building and was not using it so he decided to try the superkart thing in it. So he raised his own rent...lol. Maybe he's not involved anymore I don't know, but it is a shame to lose another motorsports related business.
