He also wouldn't give them there money back for entry/pit passes and if they proclaimed that they would never come back, Doug would have answered, "whats your point?"  Doug was a man of few words, but you knew what they meant, the first time.

Keep it up flagdude. lol Its amazing they got the track to stay tacky on two nights of racing. I have never seen that happen before. Usually if you race friday you can bet its gonna be dry slick the second night. Good job guys, that new clay must be working.

SLM47 tacky? what are you talking about? It was hard asphalt on Friday and they tried to bring it back. They were able to wet it again and get it to slick up and not be so abrasive.
Saturday the water just wouldnt dry up on the track so it was kind of sloppy wet until the main. Officials actually had a water pump on the burm to drain the water off the track because it wouldnt soak up.  The positive thing about it was that the tracks were opposite each night and it made setup a key component to winning. Vogt in modifieds on friday was unstoppable and then a back marker on Saturday.
Tarlton and Murphy were the only sprint guys that seemed to have it figured out both nights.

the track was not tacky, it was snot.... the track we raced on in the main should have been in hot laps.... qualifying was 3 hours late.... there was not one positive thing about the surface we had to race on.  the track was so wet it was ripping the interiors out of the mods... not tacky...wet... it was horrible.

There IS a very positive thing to say about the track. EVERYBODY had the same track to race on both nights. It went from one extreme to another & made for some great racing. It showed who can really run on any given surface & who cannot. The winners loved the track & the losers hated it. That's the way it always goes. It's easier to blame the track prep than the car or the driver. I wouldn't change a thing on either night of racing with the exception that it could have gone a little quicker.

Nice for you....  At about lap 26 of the Sprint Car Main I started getting tired of being hit by little chunks of mud......... It was a lot better than being covered in black tire dust at the end of the night though. I will take the mud chunks over tire dust any night.

Robby I wasnt there I was just going off of what people where saying about track. Sounds like opening night for the LMs where the track was just snotty. Like menely said its like that for everyone though. flagdude, on  a serious note. They need to raise u up off the track for safety. Have u ever thought about that?

its not about everyone having to race on the same track! its about have a track race on at all... for you that were not on the track you have no idea... this will tell you how wet it was in our heats... same thing happened to me as did crockett in his heat...we were leading it, and you  hit the brakes to set the car and the tires locked up and slid on the "mud" and killed the engine... yeah it was that bad.
